We are excited to announce that the forthcoming SACLA Users’ Meeting is scheduled for March 11 and 12, 2024, and, this time, it will be held in person at SACLA. This marks the first time in over four years that we are hosting this annual event onsite. We are delighted to resume this yearly gathering in person with many of our colleagues and users at SACLA. We hope it will be a fruitful time for everyone, providing valuable opportunities for further growth and advancement of our scientific activities.
This annual meeting offers a unique platform for our user community to familiarize themselves with the latest capabilities of SACLA, establish connections, and engage in discussions about future research. Moreover, it will be a great opportunity for facility members to receive constructive feedback from participants, enabling the development of effective strategies for future facility upgrades.
Since the commencement of user operations in March 2012, SACLA has continuously broadened its research capabilities and opportunities at three beamlines for user research. The collaborative efforts between the user community and the facility have played a crucial role in expanding research capabilities through the developments and enhancements of experimental instruments and technologies.
During this year’s meeting, the facility will introduce updates on its status, recent improvements, and strategic plans. Facility scientists will also report details of selected topics in the poster session, creating an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange with participants involved in or planning experiments at SACLA. In addition, noteworthy scientific and technical accomplishments will be presented and discussed, inspiring participants to shape their future research. The meeting will also feature updates on ongoing projects for instrument development at SACLA under the Basic Development Program.
The significant achievements to date are because of the close collaboration between the user community and the facility. Your input during the meeting is crucial for fostering continuous progress and advancing scientific research activities in the future. We eagerly anticipate your participation at SACLA in March.
